itinerary:

In the morning, you will start your journey with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and an architectural marvel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Next, we’ll travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you’ll explore significant landmarks, including Bab Chellah, the impressive Mausoleum of Mohammed V, one of the main gates of the Royal Palace, and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas.

We’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our drive to the stunning Blue City of Chefchaouen. Along the way, we’ll pass through picturesque small towns, stopping for breaks to stretch and take in the scenery.

Upon arriving in Chefchaouen in the late afternoon, you’ll have time to wander through the enchanting blue-painted alleys of the medina, capture beautiful photos, and savor the flavors of local cuisine.

You will spend the night at your hotel in Chefchaouen.

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Chefchaouen, where you’ll have free time to explore this stunning city. Nestled in the Rif Mountains of northwestern Morocco, Chefchaouen is famous for its buildings painted in various shades of blue. Stroll through its charming cobbled streets, lined with workshops specializing in leather and weaving.

In the central square of Outa el Hammam, you’ll find the Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress with red walls that houses ethnographic and artistic exhibitions. Nearby, the Great Mosque, with its striking octagonal minaret, is another highlight.

After soaking in the beauty of Chefchaouen, we’ll proceed to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this well-preserved archaeological site, where you can admire intricate mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways that offer a glimpse into Morocco’s Roman past.

Following your visit, we’ll drive to Fes, where we will explore the highlights of the city with a local guide. Fes is considered one of the imperial cities and is also the cultural and religious center of Morocco. You will spend the night in a traditional riad.

After breakfast, we will depart from Fes and head towards Merzouga, traveling through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley. Along the way, we’ll pass through the picturesque town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its charming mountain village atmosphere.

Our first stop will be the Cedar Forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you can see the famous Barbary apes and enjoy the lush surroundings. Continuing through the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain ranges, we’ll make a stop in Azrou, a Berber village located in the heart of the cedar forest.

Next, we’ll travel to Midelt for lunch, surrounded by the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey through the Tiz Ntalghamt Pass and the dramatic Ziz Gorge, where the landscape gradually transforms into hints of the desert as we approach Errachidia.

As we drive through the Ziz Valley, we’ll stop to take in the stunning panoramic views, passing through Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing glass of traditional mint tea.

From there, we’ll embark on a camel ride into the Sahara Desert to reach our luxury desert camp, where you’ll spend the night under the stars. If you prefer, you can choose to ride to the camp by car instead of camels. Your luggage will be transported by car directly to the camp for your convenience.

Wake up early to witness what may be the most breathtaking sunrise of your life over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Sahara Desert. As the sun rises over the golden sands, you’ll experience a truly magical moment. Afterward, enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast at the camp.

Following breakfast, we’ll ride back to the village of Merzouga with your driver. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of time to appreciate the ever-changing beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes as the morning light shifts.

Next, we’ll head towards Rissani, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorges, which are the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After exploring the gorges, we’ll stop for lunch in the heart of the gorge, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.

You’ll spend the night at a charming guesthouse overlooking the Dades Valley, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and breakfast.

After breakfast at your accommodation, we’ll begin our journey through the stunning Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate and onward to Marrakech. This route, known as the “Way of the Thousand Kasbahs”, offers countless opportunities to capture some of the most breathtaking photographs of your trip.

Our first stop will be Kalaat M’Gouna, the center of Morocco’s Rose Valley. Here, you’ll have the chance to visit a rose cooperative, where you can purchase fragrant rosewater—a wonderful souvenir that will keep your linens smelling fresh long after your trip.

Next, we’ll continue our journey to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most iconic kasbahs in Morocco. Built by Et Hami El Glaoui, a prominent Berber chieftain of the 19th century, this kasbah is still home to many of the Glaoui family descendants.

Our route will take us through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters) in the High Atlas Mountains, offering stunning views. Along the way, we’ll stop to learn about the traditional process of producing Argan oil, a Moroccan treasure, at a Berber women’s cooperative.

Finally, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Begin your day by exploring the captivating city of Marrakech. Start at the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, a stunning example of Almohad architecture, and then delve into the bustling souks of the medina, alive with color, energy, and countless shopping opportunities.

Along the way, discover hidden gems and visit prominent historical landmarks such as the Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Saadian Tombs, the final resting place of Saadian royalty. Continue your exploration with a visit to the beautiful Bahia Palace, renowned for its elaborate architecture, peaceful courtyards, and lush gardens.

Finish your tour with a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, an idyllic haven featuring exotic plants, vibrant cobalt-blue accents, and serene pathways. Afterward, we’ll leave Marrakech and head towards Casablanca.

The final day of our 6-day tour from Casablanca will depend on your flight details. As mentioned, you can conclude this tour in either Marrakech or Casablanca. If you have an evening flight, we can spend more time discovering additional sites in Marrakech. However, if you prefer to end the tour in Casablanca, we will need to take the highway.

As we say in Morocco, you are always welcome back to your second home.
